Money Saving Expert Martin Lewis says shoppers can save themselves £5 - by buying themselves a £1 packet of crisps.
He explained the reasons behind it on last night's Martin Lewis Money show - which aired on ITV.
Martin Lewis shared a handy tip for Britons looking to save money at their next restaurant outing. The founder of MoneySavingExpert.com said food-lovers can get £5 off at a plethora of local restaurants and takeaways simply by buying a packet of crisps.
Martin explained: “If you buy a £1 bag of these Walkers Taste Icons crisps, then there's a QR code on the back that you can go online and it gives you £5 off when you spend £20 or more at local restaurants and takeaways.

“You can redeem on food or soft drinks so it's a good way to support your local food emporium.”
The new crisps have been inspired by restaurants favourites such as madras curry, Thai green curry, fish and chips and chicken burrito.
The deal has 3,000 restaurants to choose from so foodies have plenty of choice.
Walkers’ is aiming to help crisp lovers give back and support their favourite local eateries which have played a vital role during the pandemic.

To claim the handy discount, shoppers need to buy a pack, go to www.walkers.co.uk/local and select a participating local restaurant near them.
Shoppers will then receive a QR code which you can enjoy at a local restaurant, says the Express.
However, be warned, the promotion is only on until February 15, 2022.
The discount is also only applied to soft drinks and food, not alcohol.
