Martin Lewis interrupted live on Good Morning Britain by 'distracted' Susanna Reid

Good Morning Britain guest Martin Lewis was interrupted during his money saving segment on the ITV show on Thursday morning, by a “distracted” Susanna Reid.

Susanna and co-host Ben Shephard introduced Martin to the show, which he often appears on, to offer advice to viewers about things including tax credits and ISAs.

But as Martin got underway, Susanna stopped paying attention after spotting something occurring in the studio.

The hosts had mentioned throughout the episode that K-pop sensation Monsta X were going to be in the room for an interview, and it appears it wasn’t just their fans who got a little excited.

While Martin was talking, the boys entered the room and were seen talking to some of the show’s backstage crew by the sofa area.

It’s then that Susanna interrupted Martin’s segment to declare they had arrived.

As Martin continued to discuss different types of ISA, Susanna said: “Just in case anyone wonders why we're slightly distracted, the biggest K-pop band there's ever been on Good Morning Britain is right here."

She then commented they were "early", adding it might be because they wanted to listen to Martin's segment.

Suddenly the camera panned over to the band who were getting ready for their GMB debut, with Martin’s chat coming to a halt.

Susanna then handed back over to Martin to finish his chat, but he began to ran out of time.

He then brought attention back onto his segment and encouraged the hosts to focus, as he had some important tax credit claiming information that viewers should know.

Martin explained that the deadline for those wanting to clam tax credit was fast approaching, with the date being Wednesday 31 July.

He encouraged those wanting to sign up or renew to act quickly to avoid any risk of having to pay back credit.

As the segment came to an end, Martin joked: “Now you can get on with the thing that was distracting you.”

Good Morning Britain airs all week at 6am on ITV.
