Martin Lewis had an important message for any households earning less than £30,000.
With the cost of living crisis dominating the headlines in the first few months of 2022, it was clear that people up and down the country were concerned about making ends meet.
The Money Saving Expert was back on his ITV show The Martin Lewis Money Show last night giving more expert advice to those struggling with the rising costs.

Throughout the programme, Martin answered questions from the public via email, social media, and from an in-person audience.
According to GoSimpleTax, around half of the UK earn less than £30,000 — with the median income in 2020 being around £30,800.
With that in mind, Martin had a very important message to those households earning less than the average.
He said: "If you have an income of less than £30,000 and you are struggling it is worth spending 10 minutes on a benefits calculator to see what you are entitled to.”
Martin also offered advice on a number of money worries.
He used the programme to encourage people who get more than 12 paid prescriptions per year to get an annual prescription certificate at £108, as prescription charges could rise from April 1, with one item currently costing £9.35.
The money mogul also offered advice for the energy crisis and explained his concerns for buy now pay later schemes.
He said: "I am very concerned about buy now, pay later.
"It is a debt even if it is debt free. If you cannot pay it back, it’s difficult."
