Martin Lewis broke a huge TV rule on This Morning and viewers are losing it

When it comes to national treasures, there's no denying the fact that Martin Lewis is up there with the best of them.

Over the years the Money Saving Expert has helped countless people to sort out their finances, and he's hailed an absolute hero by many.

But today the financial journalist proved that he's just human like the rest of us, after he accidentally swore live on This Morning. Oops.

Martin's faux-pas came during a rant about payday loans. Clearly perplexed by the topic, the money-savvy presenter launched into an angry rant on air, when he accidentally dropped the word 'p*ssed' in. We've all been there.

Martin Lewis swears live on This Morning

But while swearing while angry is a completely normal thing to do, viewers couldn't quite believe what they'd just heard, and took to Twitter to express their shock.

"Did Martin Lewis just swear? #ThisMorning" asked one viewer.

Another blasted: "Martin Lewis swearing on live TV. Naughty. Sack him immediately @thismorning #ThisMorning."

"Tut tut Martin Lewis swearing! #ThisMorning" noted a third perplexed viewer.

A fourth added: "Did @MartinSLewis just say "P*ssed" live on @thismorning @Schofe @hollywills #martinlewis #ThisMorning."

Heaven forbid we see his reaction if he ever steps on a piece of Lego on telly.
