Former Arsenal star Martin Keown has doubled down on his verdict that Allan McGregor's wonder save against Sparta Prague wasn't in the class of Gordon Banks' against Brazil.
Rangers icon Ally McCoist was giddy as he claimed the Ibrox stopper's epic stop was up there with the stop that denied Pele in 1970.
But Keown disagreed and while he was complimentary of the 39-year-old he doesn't think the stop was in the same class the the World Cup winner's most iconic moment.
And the 54-year-old was happy to state his case after he made the initial claim on BT Sports' Europa League highlights show.
Speaking to talkSPORT, he said: "It's probably the save of all time so you can't say Allan McGregor's save, all though a very good one, a very important one, was quite as demanding as the one Gordon Banks made all those years ago from Pele.
"Was it better than Gordon Banks' save? Put it out there, ask the viewers.
Jim White then queried why there was any need to draw a comparison between the two saves and Keown was quick to point out it was a very familiar figure who made the parrallel.
He added: 'I believe it was Ally McCoist who mentioned it on an earlier show when he through that piece of analysis in."
