Martin Keown names Celtic factor he claims makes Premiership title race 'unfair' as pundit suffers Liverpool amnesia

Martin Keown has revealed he prefers Celtic over Rangers - but dismissed the Premiership as a foregone conclusion every season.

The former Arsenal defender and pundit claims the Parkhead club "can't fail" to win the title each year due to the financial advantage they hold over the rest of the league.

He insists the Scottish game is "in trouble" due to that disparity in cash.

The Premier League commentator branded the top-flight "unfair" despite Celtic's 13-point advantage over Rangers when play stopped being just over half of the advantage Liverpool opened up against rivals Manchester City.

"Just the way that they've played, dominating football," Keown told talkSPORT when asked why preferred Celtic over their Ibrox rivals.

"I know they get £20million a year when they get into the Champions League.

"There's a massive disparity actually with what happens in Scottish football, that's why there's so much trouble there at the moment.

"Celtic can't fail to win the league with the amount of money they get, so it's a bit unfair at the moment."
