Martin Keown has hailed Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith Rowe as the "present and the future" for Arsenal after their performances against Slavia Prague.
Saka and Smith Rowe were among the standout performers for the Gunners in a 4-0 win in Prague as Arsenal romped to victory to seal their place in the semi-finals of the Europa League.
Smith Rowe had an early goal ruled out, before then supplying the assist for Nicolas Pepe to open the scoring, before Alexandre Lacazette doubled the advantage from the penalty spot.
Saka then made it 3-0 with a great strike, before Lacazette added a fourth in the second half to round off a superb night for the Gunners, who set up a semi-final tie with Villarreal, who are managed by former Arsenal boss Unai Emery.
And former Arsenal defender Martin Keown has been full of praise for Saka and Smith Rowe, along with the rest of their Gunners team-mates.
"We asked a lot of questions before the game, but they have come up with the answers," he said, speaking on BT Sport.
“They have done their talking on the pitch. I am really pleased it is the young players coming through the academy, who are leading the way.
“It is about bolting players on to that. They are the present and the future, and they are showing that.”
Keown added that he felt it was Arsenal's "best performance of the season", but he said it was Saka and Smith Rowe who stood out for him.
"[Bukayo] Saka is really dragging this team forward and his contribution tonight was different class," he said.
"[Emile] Smith Rowe as well, the telepathic link up between them, but every player was great tonight.
"We will be talking about these players in ten years time and the careers they have.
"For me, it was their best performance of the season. Every player in the team, I thought they were brilliant. Really good performance from everyone."
