Arsenal legend Martin Keown claims the club is in 'freefall' in an honest assessment of what is going wrong at the Emirates Stadium.
Gunners boss Mikel Arteta is under serious pressure having failed to get his side off the ground so far this season, Arsenal currently in 15th place with just 14 points from as many games.
They were also knocked out of the Carabao Cup earlier this week when they lost 4-1 to Manchester City, and on the back of that game, former defender Keown has criticised Arteta and his staff over some key decisions, claiming the Arsenal boss 'needs help'.
"It's looking again like it's decisions at key moments," he told TalkSPORT. "Partey came back just a couple of days training and now we are without him for two or three months.
"I think the support base around the manager has really got to help him with every decision.
"I was screaming at the TV the other night. Martinelli - a really good player, really good talent - he was injured for five minutes before half-time. 'Don't bring him out, please don't bring him out!'
"He comes back out and he lasts about two minutes. Make the right decisions!
"And the people around him need to help him make the right decisions when he is under pressure and he is under massive pressure at the moment.
"Arsenal are going to have to find a way to win games and he is going to have to pick players that he can rely upon."
Keown also discussed calls to bring young players into the starting XI, claiming inexperience is not what the Gunners need during their current crisis.
"People are calling for (Emile) Smith-Rowe and all these other young players but you can't just throw them into this situation," he added.
"You really can't get anything wrong from here on in.
"The transfer window is coming up and you can't make mistakes. Pepe is wandering around, doesn't seem like he is interested, Willian is on holiday. You have to pick players you can rely upon, the senior players and then bolt young kids onto that.
"At the moment the club feels like it is in freefall."
