Martin Keown and Cesc Fabregas agree on Arsenal's cohesion ahead of North London Derby clash

Both Martin Keown and Cesc Fabregas feel Arsenal and Mikel Arteta have married the squad's cohesion perfectly ahead of the side's North London Derby showdown with Spurs.

The Gunners are bidding to make it seven wins from a possible eight in the Premier League this term, with Antonio Conte's men also presented with a chance to leapfrog their rivals into top spot with victory.

As the Emirates Stadium prepares for yet another exciting chapter later today, the former Arsenal duo were in agreement that everything seems to be coming together for their former side this season.

''Coming into these games I was really confident, but it's a different period now and both teams are jostling for who is the best in north London,'' began Keown, speaking to BT Sport prior to kick-off.

''Arsenal have a real big opportunity today because the chemistry between the fans and the players is something I have not seen here since 2006, it's there new home and they have been searching for that atmosphere. I have no doubt it is going to be electric today for sure.''

Fabregas was quick to follow, insisting the fixture was always one that was earmarked during his 8-year spell with the club.

''I think when the calendar came out, you always look for this type of game, especially Spurs at the Emirates,'' he began. ''Its a special atmosphere, special feeling, you always raised your game - I don’t know why I always had good games against them so I felt motivated trying to bring the crowd as high as possible. ''
