A Birmingham conglomerate has expanded its portfolio of companies with the acquisition of a West Midlands virtual reality business.
Martin James Network has acquired Telford-based VR Simulation Systems.for an undisclosed sum in order to expand its mental health in the workplace services.
Headquartered in Edgbaston and employing more than 1,200 people globally, Martin James Network comprises a variety of different companies ranging from start-ups to well-established brands alongside a charitable foundation.
The network started out as a team of just ten two years ago and this latest buyout will expand its mental health arm TalkOut as it looks to help businesses navigate new ways of working and supporting staff following the coronavirus outbreak.
VR Simulation Systems will be absorbed into the TalkOut arm and enable the company to utilise virtual reality technology as part of its consultation work around mental health for businesses.
TalkOut has also launched an app to help clients connect and engage with teams as the nation adjusts to home working.
