Martin Compston wakes up with 'bouncing head' after boozy Josh Taylor party

Line of Duty star Martin Compston was nursing a hangover yesterday after joining a boozy party to celebrate East Lothian boxer Josh Taylor’s title victory.

On Sunday morning, Taylor, who is from Prestonpans, said he was 'ecstatic' after defeating José Ramírez in Las Vegas to become the undisputed super lightweight champion of the world.

Fellow Scot, Marin Compston was delighted to see him win and documented his drinks session with wife Tianna Flynn and friends.

The 37-year-old, who has been staying in Edinburgh, took to Instagram, where he chanted: "There's only one Josh Taylor," branding the boxer a "f*****g legend".

But the star admitted that he got a bit carried away with all the excitement, voicing on Twitter that his 'heads bouncing' and that Instagram stories should have a "breathalyser installed".

In the post, he wrote: "Fair to say the heads bouncing but what a night. An incredible achievement. Next fight will be one the biggest in the world and the biggest in Scottish boxing history. On a separate issue, Instagram stories should have a breathalyser installed."

After winning the incredible title, Taylor, who is known as The Tartan Tornado said that he was "ecstatic," adding: "I’ve trained my whole life for this moment. I’ve dedicated my whole life for this moment.

"I’ve dreamt of it so many times over. I’m so, so happy. I’ve over the moon, man.

"I’ve trained for this moment all my life. Mum, Dad, Finch, Danielle: I told you I would do it! I told you I would do it and we’ve done it!"
