Martin Compston shares Monarch of the Glen throwback of 'Glenbogle Young Team'

Scots actor Martin Compston has shared a major throwback from when he starred in TV sitcom, Monarch of the Glen.

The Greenock-born star appeared as Ewan Brodie in the BBC series from 2003 to 2005 and then went on to play Steve Arnott in Line of Duty in 2012.

But the 37-year-old hasn't forgotten about the early days of his career and took to Instagram to share a throwback of his time as Ewan.

Sharing a picture of the cast, he wrote: "Glenbogle Young Team. Great times #monarchoftheglen."

Compston went on to star in various other dramas including The Nest, Traces, In Plain Sight, Vigil, and will appear in Our House in early 2022.

Last month, the star took to Instagram to share the news about his new drama, which is adapted from the international best-selling novel written by Louise Candlish.

The four-part series tells the story of Fi, a woman who arrives home one day to find strangers in her house and all of her possessions have vanished.

Compston will star alongside Downton Abbey's Tuppence Middleton and The Drowning's Rupert Penry-Jones.

On his social media, he wrote: "First look at ‘Our House’ with the one and only @twopencemiddleton coming to @itv early 2022."

Speaking to ITV about the role, the 37-year-old said: “I’m absolutely delighted to be part of the cast of ITV’s Our House in the role of Bram.

"The scripts are genuinely thrilling, packed with twists and turns that kept me guessing until the end. I’m excited to bring them to the screen.”

Earlier this year, fans were left disappointed when Compston character died in the first episode of Vigil.
