Martin Compston goes to gym in Celtic top and pyjama bottoms after forgetting kit

He's best known for his famous waistcoat in Line of Duty, but now Martin Compston has started a new trend by wearing pyjama bottoms to the gym.

The Scots actor took to Instagram after making the rookie error of forgetting his gym clothes while travelling for work, so opted to wear a pair of tartan pyjama bottoms and a Celtic top instead.

Posting a picture of the questionable ensemble on Instagram, he could be seen in the mirror surrounded by treadmills wearing his green and white Hoops top with grey tartan trousers and a pair of white trainers.

Alongside the snap, the 37-year-old wrote: "Forgot my gym shorts remembered my jammie bottoms. Life on ze road."

The Greenock-born actor has been busy with various projects since the filming for Line of Duty wrapped last year.

One of his more recent projects was voicing a TV campaign to help prevent drug deaths in Scotland.

In the adverts, the Line of Duty star urges the public to learn how to recognise a drug overdose and intervene to save lives.

In the ad he says: "Would you recognise the signs of a drug overdose? Unresponsive, snoring, blue lips, to name a few.”

He mentions naloxone, which can reverse the effect of an opioid overdose.

His newest drama Vigil is also currently on screens even though he was killed off in the first episode.
