Following episode five of current series six on Sunday night, he was given the huge viewing figures which reached over 10 million viewers.
Alongside that he was also told by TV critic Luke Custard that episode one of series six had a consolidated 15,201,746 viewers.
That figure is said to rival what old comedy Only Fools and Horses Specials would get over Christmas. during its peak time.
Martin was thrilled to hear the news and said: "This after 10million for our highest ever overnight viewers with EP5 on Sunday we’re genuinely overwhelmed with the support.
For those who were there at the start, those who joined along the way and those just learning an OCG from an AFO, thank you.
Martin joked later: "Kate, gaffer, get the beers."
