Martin Compston and Josh Taylor have boozy celebration for boxing champ at Edinburgh bar

Line of Duty's Martin Compston has been partying with fellow Scot Josh Taylor once again as they headed out for a night at a swanky Edinburgh bar.

Taylor, who defeated José Ramírez in Las Vegas to become the undisputed super lightweight champion of the world, was at the centre of the celebrations last night.

He was all smiles as staff at the Rose Street Garden bar and restaurant pulled out all the stops for the boxing champ, who is a local hero in his hometown of Prestonpans.

In a clip shared by the restaurant, captioned "the real CHAMP CHAMP in the house", Taylor is presented with a cocktail, sparklers and huge sign that read "champ".

The boxer and his pals, which included Martin Compston, were not holding back on the boozy night out as they chanted "there's only one Josh Taylor".

Despite his historic title victory, Josh joked he still couldn't get a cocktail dedicated to him after the bar previously unveiled a drink dedicated to the actor.

And it's not the first time the pair have partied together.

The Line of Duty fan favourite - who normally lives in Vegas when he's not filming in Scotland - previosuly showed off some video footage of his wife and friends partying with Josh at 2:30am in Vegas.

But their antics left the 37-year-old with a sore head.

He wrote: "Fair to say the heads bouncing but what a night. An incredible achievement."

Referring to his boozy party, he added: "Next fight will be one the biggest in the world and the biggest in Scottish boxing history.

"On a separate issue Instagram stories should have a breathalyser installed."

Compston is yet to update his followers on how he's feeling this morning.
