Martin Brundle has called for F1 guests to “respect our patch” following two snubs at the US Grand Prix.
The race marked the return of the grid walk for the first time in two years, which saw some big names take a stroll down the track prior to the action commencing.
The motorsport commentator tried to interview Serena Willams which was unsuccessful, and after asking rapper Megan Thee Stallion a question, albeit a strange one, her entourage turned him away.
Following the race, the 62-year-old addressed the issue on Twitter and penned: "I have felt under pressure on the grid before but by people called Senna, Prost, Schumacher, Mansell, Piquet and so on.
"Bodyguards visiting the grid for the first time don’t bother me, everyone’s got a job to do, but they could maybe learn some manners and respect on our patch."
Brundle first spotted Williams while she was chatting with Rory McIlroy but was unable to get her attention, before wandering back down the track to try and speak to her again.
However, she couldn't be heard saying anything and Brundle was turned away by the 23-time Grand Slam champion's entourage.
“Let’s wander down here, we’ve got (golfer) Rory McIlroy and (tennis star) Serena Williams,” Brundle was heard saying on Sky Sports F1.
He waited for her to finish her conversation, before asking: “Serena, may I have a chat?”, before asking again: “Serena, are you good for a chat? Martin Brundle, British TV.”
However, the 40-year-old was unable to speak and appeared to gesture that she had somewhere else to be.
He then approached Megan Thee Stallion while she walked down the track and proceeded to say: “Megan, Martin Brundle from British television, how are you? Megan Thee Stallion, you’re a freestyle rapper.”

The musician’s bodyguards were not keen on stopping for a chat with Brundle, but she did however answer one of his questions: “You’re a freestyle rapper, have you got any rap for us today on Formula One?”
She laughed before answering: “I have no rap today, I’m sorry.”
Keen to continue the conversation, Brundle asked: “Who are you supporting in the race?” but was turned away by her team before she could answer.
This caused Brundle to snap: "I can do that, because I did."
