Martial, Greenwood and Wan-Bissaka — Manchester United predicted line up vs Partizan Belgrade

Manchester United may well hand a first Europa League start of the season to Anthony Martial, as they look to build him back to full fitness.

United are hampered by injuries to Paul Pogba, Luke Shaw, Diogo Dalot, Axel Tuanzebe and Eric Bailly, while David de Gea will be rested for the game against Partizan Belgrade.

Midfield options are again limited for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who started Scott McTominay and Fred in a 3-4-1-2 on Sunday, with some success. Nemanja Matic's injury has added to those concerns.

It seems likely that the Norwegian will revert to his favoured 4-2-3-1 system in Belgrade, with Juan Mata and Jesse Lingard (if fit) likely to come back into the side, along with youngsters Mason Greenwood and Brandon Williams.

Solskjaer has been keen to blood youngsters and use his fringe players in the Europa League this season. United have won one and drawn one of their opening two games so far. They now face back-to-back games against Partizan, with the tricky away fixture coming first.

De Gea recovered from a groin problem to play against Liverpool, while Aaron Wan-Bissaka returned from ilness. United are treating the Spaniard with kid gloves, however, though Wan-Bissaka may have to play in the absence of Dalot. Harry Maguire, Marcos Rojo and youngster Williams — who did well on his full debut at AZ Alkmaar in the last Europa League game — could make up United's back four.

Fred, McTominay and Mata could make up the midfield, with Martial and Greenwood both playing along with the returning Lingard in the front three, with Marcus Rashford getting a rare chance to rest. Sergio Romero will surely deputise for De Gea in goal.

United XI: Romero; Wan-Bissaka, Maguire, Rojo, Williams; Fred, McTominay; Greenwood, Mata, Lingard; Martial.
