Martha Stewart has a small house dedicated entirely to vintage and antique baskets – they are just as useful as they are charming, and shoppable from $30

There is nothing like an antique basket. You can hang them from the ceiling, use them as aesthetic storage for throw blankets, or even position them on shelves as decor.

Naturally, Martha Stewart is a fan. The doyenne of homes has been obsessed with vintage baskets for over 50 years. Archival photos show the famed host posing with baskets at her home in Bedford, New York, and Westport, Connecticut.

According to her blog, Martha's dedication to storage baskets is even deeper than we knew. Her team writes: 'There is a small house on Martha's property in Bedford, New York, that is dedicated entirely to baskets. Over the years, she has collected baskets in various shapes and sizes from auctions, tag sales, and antiques fairs.'

If you are hoping to emulate the icon, here are a few of our top picks for using storage baskets properly.

Editors Picks of Vintage-style Baskets

Though these baskets are decorative, the best thing about them is that they are also highly functional for storage. As seen in these Martha images, they can be used for harvesting eggs or berries, but they can also be used to keep throw pillows, blankets, or kitchen items.
