Martha Stewart designed hosting essentials to make any table look expensive – her must-have pieces are hidden deep on Wayfair (for under $15)

Martha Stewart.

Setting the perfect table is certainly a skill, but one that only requires attention to detail and a solid foundation of accessories.

Martha Stewart, as per usual, has provided insight and products that make setting a table simple and effective, and we are taking notes.

As we are in the thick of Wayfair's Way Day deals, we've been scouring the website for the best home deals, and Martha's collection has some fantastic pieces that would be perfect for any tablescape, including flatware, cutlery, a textured table runner, and reversible placemats.

Setting a gorgeous table is something Martha Stewart is an expert at, whether for holidays and special occasions or a weeknight meal. When it comes to preparing for the former, she revealed some tips on her blog while preparing for St. Patrick's Day back in 2021. However, her comments are just as transferable to other occasions.

'Whenever I entertain, I love to set a gorgeous table in my Brown Room,' Martha states on her blog. 'My housekeeper, Enma, works with me to choose the place settings. Of course, for this occasion, we used a green theme for St. Patrick’s Day. Three blooming begonias were used for the centerpieces.'

Floral centerpieces are an amazing way to enliven a table, and as we are enjoying the spring, seasonal flowers would make a great addition to any neutral table.

She continues, 'Each place setting had a whimsical polka-dotted placemat. The green china plates are monogrammed with an “S” while the crisp white linen napkins show embroidered “M” letters.'

Personalizing a tablescape is also a surefire way to make it look unique and visually engaging.

Try creating a solid base with creams and neutrals from Martha's collection and then adding vintage or decorative objects, like candlesticks and napkin rings, for a look that blends modern and contemporary with traditional and eclectic. With these pieces as a starting point, however, you can't go wrong.

Alongside our favorite Wayfair picks, you can upgrade your table further with these pieces, also designed by Martha Stewart, below.
