Martha's closed after rain pours through ceiling

Popular city centre eatery Martha's has been forced to close temporarily after rain poured in through the ceiling during the weekend's downpours.

The team posted a photo on Facebook of the substantial damage, advising they were unable to open today (Monday) due to safety reasons.

Martha's is a popular lunchtime spot for those working in Glasgow City Centre, serving up healthy, hearty scran on St Vincent Street.

It is unknown when Martha's will reopen once again, with the team commenting on social media: "Unfortunately we have been bombed by rain leaks from above. Our ceiling has fallen in! We cannot open on Monday for safety reasons...gutted. Will update as soon as we can."
