Bill Belichick taught lessons to Martellus Bennett that extended beyond football. It seems Belichick’s business-savvy approach in the NFL has informed Bennett in his post-NFL career, which has included a start-up called The Imagination Agency, among other projects.
Apparently, Bennett thinks of Belichick often.
“Anytime I have to make a business decision I ask myself ‘What would Bill Belichick do?'” Bennett wrote on Twitter on Wednesday.
It’s actually not the first time the tight end has discussed Belichick’s influence on Bennett’s business career. The former New England Patriots tight end expanded upon the idea during an interview with Yahoo! Finance in 2018.
“Most people that work for me — they’re not one-dimensional,” Bennett told Yahoo! Finance. “They’re good at a lot of different things. And that’s why I’m able to use them like the Patriots use Julian Edelman or the way that you use a Reggie Bush that you use some football players where you can split them out and do different things.”
