Recently I put out a top ten list of former Raiders greats to take their talents to the big screen. Well, Marshawn Lynch is trying to make his way onto that list it would seem. Beast Mode showed up today in the trailer for season three of the HBO hit series Westworld. It’s an epic trailer and Marshawn makes his appearance right about the :55 second mark.
This appearance doesn’t show up (yet) on Marshawn’s IMDb page, so we don’t yet know what exactly his role is at this time.
When it does show up, it will be his 8th credit as an actor including playing himself on a couple episodes of The League and an episode of Brooklyn Nine-nine.
Lynch has yet to go Beast Mode on the big screen in any feature films, but I would fully expect that breakthrough to happen at some point with the way he’s going.
Marshawn is an Oakland native who came out of retirement in 2017 to play two seasons for the Raiders, putting up 1267 yards and 10 touchdowns in 21 starts . Recently, he returned to the NFL for the Seahawks playoff run after a year away. He appeared in the Seahawks’ season finale against the 49ers and two postseason games, putting up 68 yards and 4 touchdowns.
