The book is about a famous American actress who has a diamond necklace and it gets stolen! The main character is Piotr and his dad works at a theatre. The famous actress is called Betty Massino and she went to the theatre where Piotr's dad works and that is where the necklace gets stolen.
When the necklace gets stolen the police think that it was Piotr's dad! Gasp!
Then Piotr's dad wants to send him back to Poland, but England is Piotr's home! The only way Piotr thinks he can stop that happening is if he and his friends find the real thief! The age group I would say is, hmm, for 6-10 year olds.
When I first saw this book I didn't think it would be soooooooo good! I think this book has really good descriptions and is a wonderful story! The thing I like about it is that when you start to read more and more you want to read the whole book in one day! And the way that she wrote the book makes your brain REALLY understand what she means, she makes her words very clear and, even better, she makes the words exciting!
