Married at First Sight UK stopped filming after 'wild' wife swap that left the experts stunned

Married At First sight UK has already had its fair share of drama after returning to screens for the 2022 series. In the latest episode alone new additions Matt and Gemma found themselves in a heated exchange that saw the groom storm out of a restaurant over Gemma's sexual remarks. You can read more on this here.

The series sees total strangers paired together by three love experts and throughout the process have to decide if they want to stay together. The couples make that decision at commitment ceremonies where they discuss their relationship with the love experts Paul C Brunson, Mel Schilling, and Charlene Douglas.

But despite the drama that has already aired this series, including accusations of newlyweds 'cheating' on honeymoon, matchmaker Paul has revealed there is tonnes more to come, including a "wild" wife swap. Paul, who arrived on the show two years ago as one of the dating experts, has explained the 2022 series is the "most explosive" yet, with dinner parties that will have viewers gripped and "intense" commitment ceremonies.

"All I can say is that it was honestly the most wild swap," Paul told OK! Online as he teased the wife swap. "So much so that it was a challenge for myself, Charlene and Mel."

Paul then explained that filming was even halted prior to the scene because the experts couldn't agree on how to proceed. "We debated it for a long time," he explained.

"We had even stopped filming before the scene because we were still debating it out, so the scene was delayed because we were discussing letting them carry on [in the process]."

The 48-year-old added: "This is the most explosive series yet. Every dinner party will keep you glued and have you on the edge on the seat." For more showbiz and television stories, get our newsletter here.
