Married At First Sight UK fans have been left surprised by Amy and Josh renewing their vows.
The couple has certainly had a rollercoaster of emotions across the entirety of the E4 series.
However, Friday night saw the already delayed finale finally air and the cliffhanger of Amy and Josh’s vow renewal ceremony air.
It was not always positive as the vows were read out, with Amy reminding Josh: “You called me needy and let me tell you, I’m a strong independent woman, I don’t need anyone.”
Amy recognised that sometimes she felt like she wasn’t getting “enough” back from Josh as she showed him affection.
She said: “I ask myself am I being mugged off? Am I wasting my time on someone who is just not that into me?
“But, as I was giving up, you fought for us and stepped up to meet me at my level where you’ve continued climbing.”
As Amy made clear that she was ready to make them work, Josh then read out his vows and similarly recognised that Amy had moments he was not keen on, revealing he found her sometimes to be “selfish” and he questioned if they would last.
Josh revealed: “But despite the difficulties we faced, I can truly see why we were matched. You are an incredible woman who brought things out in me that I never knew existed.”
He thanked Amy for teaching him the length of a piece of string and then tied one around her wrist to prove he wanted to continue trying with their relationship.
Naturally, viewers at home had thoughts on the conclusion of Amy and Josh’s journey on Married At First Sight UK.
