Married at First Sight star changes career path to become drag queen

Married at First Sight's Thomas Hartley has announced that he will be turning his talent to drag.

Thomas, from Liverpool, stole the limelight on MAFS UK season seven, often causing messy drama at dinner parties and quickly becoming a fan favourite. He was known to wear makeup and thigh high boots on the show, but fans might still be surprised to learn he'll be performing in drag.

Since his time on the show, he's also teased that he'll be appearing on another reality series, but is yet to confirm which one. He said the series will involve "cooking, dating and Australia", the Mirror reports.

Posting to his Instagram, Thomas shared a picture of himself in drag and said: "She's official! From the house of @subway_ukireland. Get ya baps out for Pam Sandwich!"

Thomas has also set up an entirely separate Instagram account just for Pam, @pammysandwichhun, where he shared a video of Pam Sandwich's debut performance, belting out Let It Be.

Performances feature "live vocals, comedy, and hosting" from the Married At First Sight star, although chaos is also likely to follow given Thomas' flair for the dramatics. In a video, Pam said: "So huns, I've decided to call my drag family – because no one wants to be a part of it and no one wants to adopt me – the Haus of Subway, because obviously I'm Pam Sandwich".

The Liverpudlian told The Mirror he'd be excited to jump back into reality TV too, adding: "Have we seen a same-sex couple on MAFS Australia? With an icon like me? No, we haven't. I would love to go over to Australia and marry an Australian man. I'm ready to get married again and again and again."

He also teased that he would love to star on Big Brother, claiming he would "be the winner" if he appeared on the series.
