Married at First Sight's UK Matt and Marilyse share holiday photos in Turkey amid romance rumours

Married At First Sight UK stars Matt Murray and Marilyse Corrigan have addressed claims they're dating after jetting off abroad. The reality television stars fuelled rumours of a romance after they both shared holiday snaps from Turkey.

Matt was at the centre of this year's MAFS UK action following a "wife swap" drama. The 32-year-old was initially paired by the experts with Gemma Rose but after many clashes embarked on a relationship with Whitney Hughes, who was originally married to Duka Cavolli.

The pair were allowed to stay in the experiment, despite not being married, and went on to confess their love for one another. However, during the reunion, the couple revealed they had gone their separate ways.

In his latest update, Matt revealed he was jetting off abroad. Posting on his Instagram Story on Tuesday, October 18, Matt shared a picture of the wing from his seat on a Jet2 plane.

He has since shared a topless selfie from a sun lounger and tagged Turkey's Alan Xafira Deluxe Resort. Meanwhile, Marilyse Corrigan, who featured in the 2021 series with Franky Spencer, shared a selfie from the airport alongside the caption: "Holiday time".

Rumours the pair are romantically involved, however, have been firmly shut down. A representative for the Married At First Sight stars has insisted the pair are just friends, with Marilyse supporting Matt following his time on the show.

A spokesperson for the pair told OK! Online: "There's no romance, Marilyse has gone to recover from a marathon which she ran for Kidney Research recently and she's celebrating with her son that it's a year since donating her kidney to save his dad's life.

"Matt has gone to recover from the trauma of the show, as you'll have seen last night it's taken a toll on his emotional wellbeing. Marilyse knows oh too well how the public reaction can impact the mental health of the men on the show as she saw how it impacted Franky.

"So she's being nothing more than a supportive friend to him whilst other friends from the show are filming the Christmas reunion."

It comes after E4's dramatic reunion episode revealed most of the brides and grooms from season seven had decided to go their separate ways, including Jordan and Chanita, who seemed stronger than ever during the vow renewals.

Only Jenna and Zoe, and George and April walked into the final dinner party together. Meanwhile., Matt and Whitney explained to the experts why they had broken up.

Matt said: "Coming out of the experiment we spent a lot of time together to start with didn't we? Whitney came up to mine, I went down to Whitney's. I just think we hit a few boundaries. It's s***. It was, it was s***.

The couple said the first moments outside the show were "spot on" but as time went on cracks started to appear. Whitney added: "I feel that because Matthew has a lot going on in his life – a lot going on in his head – I felt that it was manifesting to me sometimes in ways that I didn't like."

Matt agreed and added how his "previous insecurities" had resurfaced and were "put on to Whit". For more showbiz and television stories get our newsletter here.
