Married at First Sight's Luke regrets telling Morag he loved her after row

Married at First Sight UK favourite Luke has admitted his regrets over telling wife Morag that he loved her earlier on in the experiment.

As the couples headed to each other's hometowns in the latest episode of the E4 series, it dawned on Luke that Morag did not appear to be fighting for him like he was her.

The couple have hit a few rocky moments since the start of the series, including when Morag wasn't sure if Luke was the man she wanted.

Unimpressed by his fashion sense and slating his appearance, she eventually said that Luke was the person she wanted to be with - while she is still "a chapter behind" her husband.

Luke recently dropped the L-bomb on her and then said it again in front of their co-stars, leaving Morag "freaking out".

Admitting it panicked her and suggesting to her friends she wasn't happy about him saying it so publicly, she reiterated this week that she wasn't there yet with her feelings.

But things got awkward when Luke was introduced to her mum and pals during Thursday night's episode, as one of her friends suggested Luke wasn't the man Morag wanted to his face.

They ended up almost clashing as Luke told her she didn't know anything about him or what he would be like for Morag, with even Morag's mum jumping to his defence - slating Morag's past choice in men.

But Morag and her friends kept repeating how they knew more than anyone what Morag wanted, suggesting Luke was not it.

Luke felt as though she did not have his back and ended up staying somewhere else for the night, not feeling as though she was fighting for them or even trying.

The next day there was a partner swap, with Luke spending the day with Amy.

Amy revealed she wasn't ready to drop the L-bomb on husband Josh, as she wanted to make sure they were on the same page.

This led to Luke admitting he now regretted saying it to Morag so early on, with him seen telling Morag the same thing in a preview clip for the next episode.

He told Amy: "We had a difficult couple of days. I massively regret the love thing, I do.

"Not because I don't feel it but because it just overwhelmed her completely."

In the next time teaser, he repeated this, telling Morag: "One thing I regret is dropping the L-bomb."

Meanwhile, after the awkward meet-up with her friends, Morag told Luke she was confused over what she had done wrong after he said he needed some space.

She claimed she didn't even realise there was an issue, or that Luke was upset about what was going on - telling him he needed to air any issues in the future instead of letting them carry on.

Luke explained how she did not have his back and he felt alone, unsure if she even wanted to fight for their marriage.

Married at First Sight UK airs Mondays to Thursdays at 9pm on E4.
