Married at First Sight aired drama from the off in the latest episode of the UK version on E4.
Josh and Amy were set to get married, not having met before, but one glitch left him wondering if she was ditching him at the altar.
That said, it was in fact the groom who ended up having cold feet with him contemplating whether he had made the right choice by doing the show.
Self-confessed player Josh said at the age of 26, he now wanted to find a life partner and settle down - with his player days behind him.
He seemed keen to find the one and get wed for the show - that was until he actually got there and looked as though he was reconsidering the whole marriage thing.
Josh asked himself: "What the f**k am I doing?" as he waited an hour for his bride to even show up.
Amy was having a disastrous morning getting ready, as the hot water at her hotel wasn't working.
She kept blaming this as her reason for being late, and soon a 45-minute delay turned into her being over an hour late.
Josh waited for her the entire time at the venue, as viewers joked he missed his window to flee after he visibly began having doubts.
These doubts didn't even fade after meeting Amy though, as her talk of being spiritual left him baffled and a little put off.
Things got more awkward as he declined kissing her during the wedding phots and instead said they'd have one later.
Amy pulled a face at this comment before responding: "Will we?", before both bride and groom stared awkwardly.
Then Amy was left uneasy about their eight-year age gap, with her confirming she was 34.
She admitted she wasn't happy with the show choosing her a guy who was 26 as she believed this was too young to settle down.
Viewers watching took to Twitter over the scenes, with many guessing Josh was gonna ditch the process after an awkward wedding day.
One fan tweeted: " Josh has also 100% realised he wants a girlfriend, not a wife."
Another viewer said: "Nooo josh is freaking out lmao."
A third user added: "Josh preparing to get out of this," while a fourth fan tweeted: "Josh is not interested AT ALL."
Others were more stunned over the delay to proceedings, with the bride being over an hour late to her wedding to someone she'd never met.
A fan tuning in wrote: "Josh has been waiting 45mins!! I’m surprised he didn’t leave."
Another agreed: "Josh should have ran while she was still doing her makeup.. being over 45mins late was your escape."
A third said: "Omg an hour and a half late to meet a fiancé you've never met!?"
