Married At First Sight's Amy fumes at 'idiot' panic buyers stripping supermarket shelves

Married At First Sight UK star Amy Christophers ripped into panic buying 'idiots' after an unsuccessful trip to the supermarket.

She also slammed those who are stock-piling fuel across the country with long queues at the pump.

Amy, 34, is currently starring in the E4 reality show - but wasn't impressed on a trip to the shops.

She was met with empty shelves and was reduced to putting a video on her Instagram Story telling those who are grabbing all they can to keep away.

She captioned the video: "People are insane!

"You're not going to starve to death and there is plenty of petrol to go around!!

"Stop being idiots please!!"

Her rant arrived after weekend stories suggesting husband Joshua Christie, 26, had no idea about his bride's former career as a Page 3 model.

Amy allegedly starred in low-budget X-rated movies before appearing on the popular show.

A source told The Sun: "Amy appeared in a one off threesome video - they chose Cara Brett and Brandy as they were good friends. They had a laugh whilst filming it and didn’t remotely take it seriously.

She was also angry at those who have been stock-piling fuel (Instagram)

"It was a video for the paid members from the ‘Babe’ TV channel and she never thought it would be an issue. It was basically a soft ‘girl girl’ shoot but with some talking.

“When she was younger Amy didn’t always think things through and was a bit naive. It has been something she has since always regretted.

“She didn’t have good advisors around her and was pressured into making the video," the source continued.

It comes as show bosses issued another plea to viewers after some the contestants were targeted by vicious trolls.

Tayah Victoria is among the stars who have been bombarded with negativity since making her debut on the E4 show and she shared a statement from show bosses urging fans to be supportive.

The message read: "We just want to say a big thank you to everyone who is remembering to #BeKind to all our lovely brides and grooms.

"It has been a wild ride so far, but remember, the people taking part in this experiment, their friends and family do see your messages X #MAFSUK team."

Married At First Sight UK airs Monday - Thursday at 9pm on E4
