Married At First Sight's Adrian hits out at co-stars blaming show editing for backlash

Married At First Sight UK 's Adrian Sanderson has taken a swipe at his co-stars who have blamed the show's editing for backlash they have received. The TV star has opened up about his experience on the show, which included plenty of drama, and claims he has still learned a lot along the way.

However, he has insisted that the programme was "well edited" and that he is "proud" of himself for taking part. Adrian said that the producers would not create the drama themselves and, due to contestants having free rein, drama would naturally occur.

Some cast members such as Kasia London and Sophie Brown have claimed that the show have edited them in a different way but Adrian denied this. Speaking to Closer magazine he said: "Honestly, I think it's very well edited. Everyone's narrative is there. I think it's been a fair game. And this show is actually something I've been really proud of. It's real life and we're real people."

Adrian was partnered up with Thomas Hartley on the latest series of Married At First Sight, but he has not revealed whether the pair are still going strong or not. Not giving anything away, Adrian said: "I really enjoyed my time. I learned a lot about myself. I learned that patience pays off - and that love will grown in the most unlikely of spots at times.

"And I learned that you can expect the world and not put the effort in. Me and Thomas has a real fight on our hands when it came to understanding each other, but I can proudly say that we both really developed. I'm proud of the experience." Despite firstly bonding over both being from Liverpool, the pair faced some obstacles almost from day one of the experiment.

Thomas and Adrian had some rough patches (E4)

The duo jetted off to Mexico for their honeymoon where Adrian was accused by Thomas of "holding back", which led to several arguments between them. However, this didn't last as they decided to work through their differences and ended up being a good match.

Since taking part in the show Adrian has said that he would like to do more TV jobs in the future, however has found it crazy when he gets recognised every day. Opening up about a visit to the pub, Adrian said that due to being so busy he went to relax at a pub for half an hour but found himself getting recognised there as well.

But this can't have put him off too much as Adrian mentioned doing a TV show with Thomas. He said the pair often get asked if they would do their own show due to coming across as 'funny' and really 'in tune with each other'.
