Married at First Sight is looking for brave singles to get hitched to a stranger

If you're looking for a very brave new start this year then you could always commit to marrying someone you've never met before.

Traditionally, a successful marriage follows a period of dating, falling in love, moving in together and becoming soul mates.

But there are matchmaking experts who believe they can pair up singles based on their compatibility and arrange a marriage which works just as well as nuptials which follow a lengthy courtship.

That's how C4's Married at First Sight works. A panel of experts pair strangers together based on their compatibility. The couple then get married, with an aim to live happily ever after due to their scientific connection.

The TV show is back for a new series this year. So far, 10 couples have tied the knot without meeting each other before. This year, you could be one of them, as Married at First Sight is looking for singles to take part in the next series.

Channel 4 says: "We’re looking for brave singles for a new series of Married at First Sight.

"In this unique relationship series about married life, a panel of matchmaking experts will be there to help you find the one."

If you're bored of the local dating scene and want to bin Tinder, this could be the opportunity for you. Be warned though: every couple put together by Married at First Sight has since broken up.

To apply, email with your name, age, and contact number to marriedatfirstsight@cplproductions.co.uk
