Married at First Sight fans call for 'controlling' and 'scary' Franky to be axed

Married at First Sight fans were left in shock at Franky's behaviour at the final dinner party, with many calling for him to be axed from the show.

In Monday's episode, the couples read out letters from the other couples who gave them advice about their relationships, but they had no idea who had written them.

Franky didn't like the advice he'd been given, calling the person who wrote the letter a "b****".

Later the former solider snapped at his wife Marilyse when she tried to defend their relationship, warning her not to speak when he is talking.

The scenes sparked concerns with the show's viewers, who branded him "controlling" and urged bosses to axe him from the show due to his behaviour.

Reading out his letter, Franky said: "Franky and Marilyse, our first impression of you was probably not one you want to hear."

"We felt uncomfortable on your presence..." he said, with Marilyse adding: "Franky's presence!"

Clearly annoyed at her interruption, Franky said: "F**king hell that was the first sentence, it's going to take a while this."

He went on: "The dynamic between you both felt weird and mismatched... f**k off.

"Franky you were defensive and closed off.. which shallow little b****ing b**** wrote this?"

He called whoever wrote it "uneducated" and when the letter accused him of being controlling he called the writer "fickle".

When he asked if he was so bad at the first commitment ceremony Morag said yes and he accused her of writing it, and when she denied it he told her to "calm down".

Marilyse read her own letter, and said she was grateful for the advice, which caused Franky to snap at her.

"Maybe when I speak, don’t speak," he said, to which she replied: "What do you mean?"

"I was just saying something to them all," he told her, with Marilyse replying: "That's not a nice thing to say."

He tried to apologise but she was clearly upset, and the experts praised Marilyse's reaction.

Mel Schillings said: "She's standing her ground, this is great to see. She's actually ruined her back on him."

Later when she was speaking to Megan, Megan, Marilyse said: "Could you imagine if he spoke to me like that in front of my kids?"

Viewers took to Twitter to slam the scenes, with one tweeting: "The fact they haven't taken Franky off the show at this point is ridiculous."

"Franky is just one huge red flag," another posted.

A third wrote: "If they kicked Nikita out for the abuse she shouted (and rightly so) why the f**k is Franky still there after the way he speaks to Marilyse and the various other red flags?!?"

"Franky is scary AF!!! He makes my skin crawl," another agreed.

Franky has previously responded to the backlash, blaming the editing for how he's come across.

He said on social media: "I am not the guy who edits all the footage. I just don't know what’s going on. It is what it is, you know. I'm thick-skinned."
