Married at First Sight contestant flies into rage after she's mistaken for being Scottish

A Married at First Sight UK contestant flew into a rage and claimed she was insulted after being mistaken for being Scottish.

Geordie girl Nikita Jasmine attended the first dinner party of the series with her husband Ant Poole but ended in disaster after the pair were introduced to other couples.

Nikita said to fellow contestant Alexis "show us ya lad then" and was introduced to Jordan who asked her: "Where you from, Scotland?"

Fuming, Nikita raged: "Scotland? Are you mad? Why aye ya daft ****! Bloody Scottish? I'm insulted!"

After the incident Jordan said to the camera: "First impressions of Nikita, she is a pretty girl, then she opened her mouth.

Scottish Twitter had plenty to say after Nikita's comments aired last night.

One person wrote: "Wait a minute! Nikita just said she’s embarrassed to be told she sounds Scottish! Get tae f**k! #MAFS #MAFSUK."

Another said: " #MAFSUK let me tell you Nikita .... the Scots are the ones insulted he thought you were Scottish. You stay in Newcastle pet."

While another said: "I'd rather be Scottish than be Nikita. Can you imagine?"

Jordan's partner Alexis then told the girls she wasn't really feeling the connection between her and her husband and things went down hill from there.

Nikita announced to the table that if anyone got on the wrong side of her they would be 'wearing her drink'.

She then proceeded to prod Jordan on his relationship with Alexis and even said that he was 'punching'.

The drama took a turn for the worst, and Nikita erupted with producers being forced to usher her away off camera.

Producers later made the decision that Nikita would be immediately removed from the show, with the drama being aired in tonight's episode.

Bosses said they had 'no choice' but to remove the newlywed from the show after ruling her behaviour had broken the strict code of conduct for participants.

The star had been partnered up with singleton Ant with the pair heading off on a honeymoon to Mexico after their wedding.
