Celebrities have reportedly been approached to star in a new series of Married At First Sight next year.
The hit E4 show has proved hugely popular with viewers, but TV bosses are believed to be hungry to spice things up even further.
And according to a source, casting producers Endemol Shine have already asked former contestants to see if they would consider returning to the show.
Bachelorette star Jamie Doran recently shared a text he received from a MAFS casting director, enquiring whether he’d been keen to star on the show.
But Jamie brutally snubbed the offer and shared a screenshot of the message on Instagram.
“Not a f**king chance,” slammed Jamie.
The message read: “I'm a casting producer for Married At First Sight.
“I am casting this year’s and am just wondering if you are still looking for love and would be interested in applying for this year.”
“I'm done with reality TV,” stressed Jamie in an interview with Daily Mail Australia. “There's none I would say yes to.
“I'm also still in a lawsuit against Warner Bros.”
But the source revealed that former bad boy Sam Ball could make a shock return to the show after failing to find love in 2019.
“Sam Ball and Foxy Jojo are top contenders to return,” said the source. “A gay couple and fitness model have also been mentioned.”
MAFS has been filmed between August and December, but the new 2022 season is expected to being filming this month and should conclude in March.
Meanwhile, the new series of the show has already received stick from some fans who criticised a groom for an embarrassing wife with a “creepy” wedding day speech.
The reality TV programme sees two complete strangers matched by a panel of relationship experts.
Their first meeting is a wedding ceremony that takes place minutes after they've seen each other for the very first time.
In the most recent episode of the UK series, Franky, 47, tied the knot with 37-year-old Marilyse with some viewers fearing for their romance already.
Opening his speech at their wedding, Franky said: “Ladies and gentleman, I will actually enjoy this speech because it’s highly unlikely again that I will get to speak for a whole 10 minutes without my wife interrupting me.”
His comments prompted unhappy looks from Marilyse, before he continued: “The perfect marriage is with the growth within the relationship and overcoming the obstacles together. You got that, yeah?”
“Thank you in advance that on our honeymoon you’re gonna [sic] get up every morning and make me breakfast,” he added. “I like my eggs runny.”
However some viewers were far from impressed and slammed Franky’s lame words as the “most awkward speech ever”.
“Franky’s toxic masculinity is just [off the scale],” blasted one angry viewer.
