Married At First Sight Australia's Mike Gunner says he is part Scottish and has the personality to prove it.
His comments come as ex 29 year old virgin Matthew Bennett appeared on Lorraine to tell her he can no longer watch the show because 'it's too triggering'.
Mike, who has kept the world entertained with his opinions and antics on season six of Married At First Sight Australia, also expressed his strong desire to visit Europe and come to Scotland as soon as lockdown is over.
The former electrician who has now turned his hand to head tattooing since the show aired on Channel 4, was accused of 'gaslighting' his wife Heidi Latcham during the Married At First Sight Australia experiment .
During their honeymoon on the show when Heidi gave a heartbreaking insight into her difficult childhood, Mike told her: 'I'm not your therapist'.
Now Mike has revealed he'd love to travel to Scotland and explore his ancestry here.
He said: "I want to go to Scotland so badly. In fact I'm half English Scottish. My great grandfather or something. Obviously we have a lot of descendants from Europe and certainly the UK."
Mike also puts his naughty side down to his Scottish ancestry.
He added: 'Believe me, the half that's Scottish is the mischief part of me. "
Mike, who also has his own podcast, said he has been trolled from around the world over his behaviour on the show but added: "I'm getting a lot more love from Scotland. All these Scottish people I think I'd like a European tour. I 'm so sick of Covid."
"What’s interesting is the English, Irish, Scottish, Welsh, are really cool. Everybody’s very kind and that’s quite refreshing because in Australia we really copped it, and I don’t know what that’s about.
"I don’t know if people have this sense of entitlement where they’re able to criticise you because maybe you’re one of them. I don’t know. It’s hard to know what goes on but the English are very lovely."
Meantime his Married At First Sight co-star Matthew Bennett who lost his virginity to Lauren Huntriss on the 'painful' series appeared with his new girlfriend on Lorraine and said he still couldn't get his head round how big the show was.
He said he still couldn't watch it adding: "I can't, it is too triggering. There are some things better left in the past."
He added: "I have a theory that this feels like they matched some of the polar opposites and that is where the drama sparks from. I see the wedding as a soap wedding.
The amount of times we had to retakes, I don't count it as a proper wedding."
