Married at First Sight Australia: Bronte's bridesmaid 'lied' about groom's single status to get more airtime

Ideally your wedding day is meant to be one of the happiest days of your life but one bride, Bronte, received bad news from one of her closest friends, Jess, on her wedding day while appearing on Married at First Sight Australia. Bronte had just married and met stranger Harrison when Jess claimed that Harrison was not intending on taking the process seriously.

Bronte now believes that Jess was lying to her, having claimed that Harrison had a younger girl waiting for him when he finished the experiment, to get more airtime and because she was jealous about not being picked to be a bridesmaid. While on honeymoon with Harrison, Bronte's sister rang her to say she believed Jess was lying.

Reacting to the news, Bronte said: "What the hell?! She couldn't handle the fact that this wasn't about her. She gets so much attention...this is my day, everyone gets to have their own wedding day! Like, why you making this about you?"

She added: "My poor husband has been absolutely annihilated, the poor guy, all he has done is come in here and try to start again". After speaking to Harrison they both agreed to leave the situation in the past and move on with their marriage.

During the wedding Jess did not wait long to spread the rumour about Harrison. She told Bronte: "I have to tell you something...I have a friend that is from Sydney. She told me about this guy that is going on to Married at First Sight that she has been dating for the last month and a half. She told me that he was saying to her about how he wants to be with her once he finishes his experiment. Babe, it's him. It is Harrison. He has pretty much been planning a future with this young girl."

Married at First Sight Australia continues Monday-Thursday on E4 at 7.30pm.
