Marquise Goodwin says he will race Von Miller at Broncos-49ers joint practice

After beating out 15 other NFL players in a 40-yard dash competition, San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Marquise Goodwin was dubbed the fastest man in the NFL.

Denver Broncos outside linebacker Von Miller posted a congratulations message to Goodwin on Instagram and joked that the receiver was lucky he didn’t enter the competition himself.

Goodwin then commented that he plans to race Miller when the Broncos host the 49ers for joint training camp practices next month.

It’s unclear if Goodwin was joking but it seems unlikely that Miller would stand a chance in such a race.

Goodwin beat Broncos running back Khalfani Muhammad in the offensive bracket final of the 40-yard dash competition before going on to win the overall final.

Muhammad ran a 4.34-second 40-yard dash at his California pro day in 2017. He is yet to appear in a regular-season NFL game.
