Marquez Valdes-Scantling says Charmin is helping on Chiefs’ trip to Germany

The defending Super Bowl champions are entering Week 9 this Sunday, ready to bounce back with a strong showing against the Miami Dolphins. They will face the challenge of playing in a different country and trying to maintain their routine but will have some help in a very private manner.

Chiefs Wire’s Ed Easton Jr. recently sat down with wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling, courtesy of Charmin Ultra Soft Smooth Tear, to discuss the importance of using its brand-new toilet paper on the trip to Frankfurt, Germany, and adjusting to different game times throughout the season.

“Yeah, Charmin is helping us out, man. Now, as we go over to Germany, being our home away from home, we are able to keep our routine the same,” Valdes-Scantling explained. “They gave us this Charmin Ultra Soft Smooth Tear toilet paper that we’re going to be able to take with us and just be able to go to another part of the world.

“You never know what to expect. And so being able to have some safety net and knowing what you’re going to be able to take with you is important because there’s nothing worse than getting to a spot and not having something comfortable. So Charmin is doing a great job.”

The former Green Bay Packers standout is no stranger to playing on a national platform. He explained his many primetime appearances before suiting up for the Chiefs.

“I mean, I played for the Packers before. And so we always had the primetime games, you know, we hardly ever had the 12 or one o’clock time slot. I think I probably had, you know, maybe eight of those, and my six-year plan, you know, maybe get one, one a year, two, if you’re lucky. And so I’ve always been on the 3:25 slot or the 7:25 slot.

“So, I’m just used to it. You know, and obviously, we are a good football team, people want to see you play. And so I’m just grateful that I’ve been on the good teams that people want to see play, as opposed to always having a 12 o’clock game that no one cares. And no one’s in the stands watching you play.”

The Chiefs are far and away one of the more popular teams in the NFL, and being the reigning Super Bowl champions has landed them in marquee games like this Sunday in Frankfurt.
