Marqise Lee, Geoff Swaim surface on injury report after exiting game vs. Saints early

Veteran receiver Marqise Lee and tight end Geoff Swaim were list on the Jacksonville Jaguars’ first injury report of Week 7 after exiting Week 6’s game against the New Orleans Saints early. Lee was the first to exit the after sustaining an ankle injury in the third quarter, while Swaim exited the game in the fourth quarter after taking a big-time hit from linebacker Demario Davis, which placed him in the concussion protocol. He also was listed on the injury report with an ankle issue.

Veterans Calais Campbell and Brandon Linder started the week as they typically do by resting, while Cody Davis was added to the report with a hamstring injury.

The only other name to surface on the injury report was an important one: Josh Oliver (hamstring), who was limited. The Jags’ numbers at the tight end position aren’t high at the moment with Swaim in the concussion protocol and James O’Shaughnessy on injured reserve after tearing his ACL Week 6. That said, they need the rookie to make his debut more than ever. Per coach Doug Marrone, he is well on his way to playing Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals if he avoids any setback in practice this week.

The Bengals had several starters on their injury report and appear to be very banged up, especially in the secondary where William Jackson and Dre Kirkpatrick didn’t participate and Shawn Williams was limited. Starters Carlos Dunlap, A.J. Green and John Miller also didn’t practice, while Geno Atkins was limited.
