Marouane Fellaini rules out Tottenham move, and Jose Mourinho reunion, in January

Marouane Fellaini has ruled out a January move to Tottenham following transfer links with Jose Mourinho.

Reports from his homeland of Belgium claimed Mourinho was weighing up a reunion for the former Manchester United midfielder, who now plies his trade in China with Shandong Luneng.

Fellaini's current deal runs for another two years and has impressed in his first season in the Far East, nothing seven goals and adding a further four assists over 22 games.

However, as reported by Standard Sport earlier this week , Mourinho is not interested in a winter move for Fellaini, along with Roma's Edin Dzeko and Napoli's Kalidou Koulibaly.

"Jose is special for me," Fellaini told Eleven Sports. "We text each other, we call each other from time to time.

"He's taken over at Spurs and he's doing well. I wish him all the best, but I am good where I am now."

Standard Sport understands there will be limited funds for Mourinho in January , having already ruled out moves for free agent Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Portugal midfielder Bruno Fernandes.
