Marnie Simpson pregnant: Geordie Shore star reveals she's expecting first child with boyfriend Casey Johnson

Marnie Simpson has announced that she is expecting her first child with boyfriend Casey Johnson.

The former Geordie Shore star told OK! that she is four months pregnant and is due to give birth in October.

The 27-year-old told the magazine she had feared that she’d be unable to have children due to her “abuse” of alcohol while appearing on the MTV reality show.

“Because I’d done Geordie Shore I’d convinced myself that I couldn’t have kids because of all the alcohol abuse,” she said, before revealing that she felt “really nervous” about the upcoming arrival.

“I’m really nervous. I can’t even talk about it, I get so scared,” she added.

Johnson, who appeared on The X Factor as part of boy band Stereo Kicks in 2014, said that the couple were “excited” to welcome their first baby.

“I don’t think you’re ever ready until it happens, but we’re so excited. It feels amazing,” he told OK!

The pair have been in a relationship for two and a half years, after meeting on dating show Single AF in 2017.

Simpson also opened up about an abortion she had when she was 19 years old, describing it as being “the right decision” at the time.

“When I look back I definitely feel I made the right decision,” she said. “I don’t regret it. I was so young, I didn’t have a job, a driving licence or any money.”

She later alluded to the happy news in an Instagram post, sharing a snap of her and Johnson kissing in front of the Eiffel Tower with the caption: "Baby daddy."

The reality star joined Geordie Shore in 2013, and announced her “permanent” departure from the series in March 2018 after “a wild five years”.

“For everyone [that] keeps asking I have in fact permanently left Geordie Shore, it was just time to move on,” she wrote on Twitter.

“It just wasn’t the same without everyone who left and I made the decision to leave, it was a wild 5 years and I’m really thankful I got to do it!”
