Marnie Simpson claims she was 'manipulated' into natural birth after doctors advised caesarean

Marnie Simpson has said she felt 'manipulated' into having a natural birth despite her doctors recommending she have a caesarean section.

The Geordie Shore star, 28, had a 'horrendous' 28-hour labour in which she lost two pints of blood to deliver her four-month-old son Rox, who she shares with her boyfriend Casey Johnson.

Before she went into labour her doctors said she should "seriously consider" a c-section before of her chronic bladder condition, which she's had since 2016.

But Marnie says she felt pressured into having a natural birth, a decision she thinks made her unbearable bladder problems even worse.

When asked if she blamed anyone for what happened, Marnie told new! magazine: "A little bit because I was given the option to have a C-section because of my bladder history.

"A doctor told me I should seriously consider it, but I didn't because everyone [around me] was like, 'You have to do it naturally, C-sections are bad.'

"I felt quite manipulated to do it naturally, which is why my bladder is completely f**ked up now."

She advised new mums to "follow your gut instinct and don't listen to anyone else".

In the interview she also confirmed the reports that she's considering a surrogate for her next baby are true.

Marnie added: "If I was to ever get better with my bladder and be symptom-free I'd be scared to risk it all by having a baby again.

"I don't want to be in the same position."

Marnie previously opened up about how she struggled to adjust to new motherhood after the complicated birth left her bed-bound for weeks.

She couldn't even change Rox's nappy because she couldn't stand up and struggled to fed him.
