Marlon Wayans has told fans that his beloved mum Elvira has died at the age of 81.
The White Chicks actor spoke out on what would have been Elvria's 82nd birthday.
He broke the news on Instagram with a picture of them together and smiling as he paid tribute in the caption.
“Losing you shattered me into 1000 pieces. I’m putting myself back together piece by piece.
“You will always be my glue. Miss you. Today i celebrate for the both of [us].
“In the midst of this hurt... i just love you ma. #missyou.
He continued: “I accomplished so much, made you so proud... but now i got angel to lift me.”
Marlon is the youngest of the ten Wayans children, many of whom have found fame in the movie industry working as directors, screenwriters and actors.
Marlon co-wrote and starred in the Scary Movie franchise and has also appeared in White Chicks, Little Man and Dance Flick.
He has also appeared in GI Joe the Rise of Cobra, Requiem for a Dream and the Netflix hit Naked.
