Marlon Pack's Bristol City reunion in doubt as Cardiff man picks up rare injury

A former son's Bristol City reunion is in doubt after he picked up a rare injury at his new club.

Marlon Pack had been due to face his former side for the first time since his deadline day departure to Cardiff City on November 9, but an issue with his leg has cast uncertainty over his appearance.

The 28-year-old midfielder was forced off in the first half of the Bluebird's 3-0 defeat at Reading on Sunday and was left out of Wednesday night's victory over Huddersfield Town.

Remarkably, Pack never endured an injury lay-off during his six years at Ashton Gate according to Transfermarkt.

Cardiff manager Neil Warnock said: “It looks bad to me, I think the physio said that it could be a couple of months, which will be a nightmare for us.

“You do begin to think your luck is running out as a manager, I must admit, because with Pack on Sunday we looked so good - composed and in charge - and then one mistake when he’s come off and we’ve collapsed.”

The Robins travel to the Welsh capital on Saturday, November 9, by which point Pack will only just be making his return, barring any setbacks, and may not necessarily be match fit.
