Marlins Man Had Weak Excuse for Skipping Marlins-Phillies Series for Diamondbacks-Brewers

The Marlins were swept out of the playoffs by the Phillies on Wednesday night, but one of their biggest fans who is usually seen sitting right behind home plate during big games was nowhere near Philadelphia to take in the two games.

Instead, Marlins Man was in Milwaukee, where he watched both of the wild-card games between the Diamondbacks and Brewers.

Many fans watching those Brewers-Diamondbacks games were confused to see the famous fan, who in real life is a Florida lawyer named Laurence Leavy, sitting behind home plate while his Marlins were fighting for their lives in Philadelphia. 

He gave this explanation earlier in the week: 

His team makes the playoffs and he can’t change his travel plans? This guy, who seemingly has had no problem spending lots of money on travel and tickets over the years, can’t figure out a way to get to Philly? 

C’mon, man!
