Marley Watkins has made his return to Aberdeen after a injury-plagued loan spell last season.
The Welsh international has penned a two-year deal in the Granite City following his release from Cardiff.
The Dons were keen on signing him permanently in 2020 after making 13 appearances and scoring twice for the club.
However, injury saw him return to parent club Bristol City before agree a short-term deal at the Bluebirds.
After he was released by the Championship side at the season, the 30-year-old has agreed a switch to Stephen Glass ' men.
Following the deal, Glass said: “I’m delighted Marley has chosen to return to the Club.
“In his previous spell at Aberdeen his influence on the team was enormous and we are looking forward to having him back in a red jersey. I expect the fans will be delighted to see him back with the Club.
“We have beaten off a lot of competition for him and I am sure he will enjoy a great reception upon his return to Pittodrie.”
Glass has already added to his frontline earlier this week with Austin Samuels signing on at the Scottish Premiership side.
