Markus Perez vs. Jack Marshman headed to UFC on ESPN+ 22 in Sao Paulo

Markus Perez will look to remain undefeated in Brazil.

He takes on Jack Marshman at UFC on ESPN+ 22 in a middleweight bout. A person with knowledge of the booking confirmed the matchup to MMA Junkie on Monday. The person requested anonymity because the UFC has yet to make an official announcement. The news was first reported by Combate.

UFC on ESPN+ 22 takes place Nov. 16 at Ibirapuera Gymnasium in Sao Paulo. The event streams on ESPN+.

Perez (11-2 MMA, 2-2 UFC) has split his first four trips to the octagon and is coming off a second-round anaconda choke submission over Anthony Hernandez at February’s UFC on ESPN+ 2. The former LFA middleweight champion will look to string consecutive wins for the first time in his UFC tenure when he takes on Marshman.

Wales’ Marshman (23-9 MMA, 3-4 UFC) has also failed to find consistency in the octagon. He has lost three of his last four and is coming off a first-round submission loss to prospect Edmen Shahbazyan at July’s UFC 239. He will look to rebound when he enters enemy territory and takes on Brazil’s “Maluko.”

With the addition, the UFC on ESPN+ 22 lineup now includes:

  • Jan Blachowicz vs. Jacare Souza
  • Priscila Cachoeira vs. Ariane Lipski
  • Antonio Arroyo vs. Kevin Holland
  • Antonio Rogerio Nogueira vs. Trevor Smith
  • Leah Letson vs. Eduarda Santana
  • James Krause vs. Sergio Moraes
  • Bobby Green vs. Francisco Trinaldo
  • Jack Marshman vs. Markus Perez
