Marks & Spencer has sparked a huge debate among shoppers this week after one of its new products was shared online.
The high street retailer is often praised for its various food and fashion products but this week Facebook page NewFoodsUK shared its new Percy Pig Cake Jars - and shoppers aren’t pleased with them.
The new product arrived in stores on July 13 and while many shoppers are praising it, others just can’t believe the price.

The jars, which are filled with layers of "fluffy Madeira sponge with Percy Pig flavour buttercream, raspberry jam and fruity raspberry jelly pieces", are priced at £4.
Beneath the Facebook post, which received hundreds of likes and more than 2,000 comments, shoppers shared their thoughts about the long-anticipated Percy Pig Cake Jar.
While some shoppers couldn’t wait to get their hands on it, others branded the jar a “rip off”.
One shopper wrote: “Basically a small piece of cake for £4 in a jar or a full cake in a box for same price!”
A second said: “In central London they rinse you for £4.50 for one of those cake jars. Total rip off.”
A third added: “Its nice but price is too high for such a small jar £4” and fourth said: “Saw them tiny and about £4 xx”.
Another wrote: “£4 for a very small jar”.
However, the price didn’t put everyone off as some shoppers eagerly tagged friends and family to share the news.
Many even claimed they’d be heading to their local stores to pick up the product.
One person said: “It looks so yummy!” and another wrote: “Amazing”.
Another called the product “heaven”.
A fourth said: “Ohhhh hello!! We need to go on a hunt for these xx”.
