Marks & Spencer open menswear pop-up shop in London's Soho

When a new store opens in Soho, London, it always causes a bit of a stir.

So when a new sign went up on Bateman street passers by were eager to learn what it would be.

This week it became apparent Mike & Tom's was a cool new menswear pop-up.

But it wasn't until the likes of Oliver Cheshire, Paul Sculfor, Oliver Proudlock and Jordan North turned up for the opening that it was revealed the store was owned by Marks & Spencer .

Named after the founders of M&S, Michael Marks and Thomas Spencer the boutique style store has been designed to show the very best of the brand's menswear.

With a strong focus on style led pieces and new season staples, the store will completely change your perception of the brand and what it has to offer.

It also offers early access to a selection of new pieces not yet available in-store or online at marksandspencer.com .

M&S has faced tough trading conditions (AFP)

Opening a pop-up store is an interesting and bold move for M&S.

Having announced 100 store closures and facing tougher than ever trading conditions, many retailers are having to reassess the way they appeal to customers.

This season the focus is on more style, more contemporary fits and more versatility across the wardrobe.

New season styles shown in the store include relaxed sweatshirts, camo print parkas and bags, cord shackets, check tailoring, wool caps and contrast sole trainers.

If you're in the area we suggest you pop in.
